mope-fest.

i am one depressed girl.

i had a wonderful post all about the snow, but fuck that.

i realized about ten minutes ago that i could get tickets for low's first avenue show in december on ticketmaster.com. i found two tickets and was about to enter my card number when i saw an asterisk. "what's this?" i wondered, searching for the fine print.

*must be 21+ with valid ID.

unbelievable. with four months to go, i'm going to miss low because i'm not old enough.

i'm going to go down four shots of whiskey and drunkenly sputter in the face of age.

here's to you, sparhawk. i'll see you soon. i promise.

weekly 5
theme: it's cold.

1. low - last snowstorm of the year (trust)

2. ella fitzgerald & louis armstrong - baby it's cold outside

3. the white stripes - in the cold, cold night (elephant)

4. john legend - refuge (when it's cold outside) (get lifted)

5. modest mouse - the cold part (the moon & antarctica)

leave me nice comments with nice little stories that will cheer me up. please?

if you have any suggestions on how to sneak into first avenue, tell me those too.

Comments:
um. okay. well. . hm.

okay, i've got one: it's cold as fuck, right? so i put a doormat in front of the radiator in the kitchen and now we keep all our shoes there so they aren't cold in the morning. it doens't help you drink, but it's cute in a "precious moments" way, right?

. . .

anne?

Fucking age limits. I'm going to shave a lot of my beard off tonight (it's gotten to be a bit thick). you can have the clippings and glue them to your face...but what to do with your rack?

;-)

I once "flashed" a security guard to get into an 18+ show when I was 17. It was at the Fine Line, but I would do it all over again to see the first Pixies reunion.

I got into a 21+ show at first ave by asking some strangers to tell the bouncer that they were with us and they were going to garuntee to them that we would not drink, I told the guys if they did see us with a drink in our hands they could kick me in the nuts as hard and however often as they wanted....we didnt drink, we just wanted to see the faint and Bright eyes....hope that gives you some hope
