people who make that kind of picture can go to hell.
michael mcdonald collaborated with steely dan from 1972 to 1974. he was in the doobie brothers from 1976 to 1981 and is responsible for "takin' it to the streets," and as a doobie, won four grammys. during that time frame, he collaborated with carly simon and kenny loggins (say what you will about loggins, but he is a great songwriter). since going solo, he has won one grammy and been nominated for an additional three, and has collaborated with aretha franklin, joni mitchell, patti labelle, alison krauss, james ingram, edwin mccain, and oleta adams, has opened for cher, and has had his very own tribute concert (performers included the late great ray charles).
i left out some of the incredibly incredibly lame stuff, but you have to admire his body of work and the fact that he's been in the industry for over thirty years, and has been quite successful at it.
and anyone who was part of "kid charlemagne" (which you can clearly hear his harmonies on in the chorus) is a friend of mine.

so britney had her baby. finally. this is a milestone for my generation. we all grew up with britney. it's as if one of our peers has had a child.
my britney had a baby? britney is not my favorite celebrity (or even my favorite guilty pleasure celebrity), but i'm not going to lie -- i miss the old britney. i miss her serial-dating ways, her scandalous naval, her catchy-ass songs... i mean, this trailer trash britney was fun for awhile, but come on. which britney do you prefer?
